For the purpose of this policy, ‘we’, ‘us’ and ‘Nirvana Brewery’ all refer to Nirvana Brewery Ltd, and ‘you’ ‘your’ and ‘the user’ refer to you, the website user.

Nirvana Brewery are the data controller with respect to the information in this privacy policy. We are regulated in the UK by the ICO.

WHAT IS THE SCOPE OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY?

This Privacy Policy governs our data collection, processing, usage practices and retention of data with regards to users of the Nirvana Brewery website (www.nirvanabrewery.com and any subdomains) and recipients of marketing emails. Our cookie policy can be found separately here: cookie policy.

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time to ensure that our processes are up to date, transparent and in accordance with the law. You can check back to this page to read the latest privacy policy at any time. This version was created in February 2019.

WHAT DATA DO WE COLLECT, WHY AND HOW IS IT USED?

Nirvana Brewery does not collect any personal information about you, unless you provide it to us. If you would prefer that we don’t collect any personal information from you, please do not provide us with any such information.

WEBSITE BROWSING

When you browse our website, we may collect cookies. Please see our full cookie policy for more information on what cookies we collect, and why. None of these cookies can identify you as an individual.

PLACING AN ORDER

When you place an order with us, we collect and store your contact and payment details (including name, billing address, shipping address, contact number, email and last 4 digits and expiry date of your payment card) through our third party website and payments providers. We require and store this information for the purpose of fulfilling your order. Alongside our providers, we put in place all of the necessary precautions to ensure that your data is not compromised. We will contact you at reasonable intervals with updates on your order status under the legal basis of performing a contract.

We will store this information indefinitely in order to comply with other laws surrounding income, tax and proof of sales.  

CREATING AN ACCOUNT

You can create an account on our website to speed up your order process and see your order history. We will ask for your first and last names and email address, and at the point of ordering, additional information as above (see placing an order section). By creating an account, you are consenting to us storing and processing your data as described in this privacy policy.

We keep this data for as long as you have an account with us.

ENQUIRIES

We store your first name, last name, email address and enquiry on our systems either when you use the form on our Contact Us page, or when you email us directly. Unless you specifically request it, we won’t add you to any other marketing lists to receive further information; we’ll simply answer your initial request unless you as us to do otherwise.

We store your name and email address in our database to keep track of requests that we receive, in order to ensure that they are answered.

We store this information indefinitely to keep track of our business enquiries. You can contact us at hello@nirvanabrewery.com at any time to request for your information to be removed.

SIGNING UP TO OUR MAILING LIST

When you request to sign up to our mailing list using the form at the bottom of our homepage, we ask for your first name, last name and email address so that we can contact you with our latest news, offers and marketing information and address you by the correct name. We will contact you under the legal basis of consent. Additional information will be collected your mail provider, MailChimp, on how you respond to our marketing emails.

We will retain your data as long as your email address remains active. You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking ‘unsubscribe’ at the bottom of our emails. If you unsubscribe from our emails, we need to keep your details on our system to ensure that we know not to contact you again. You can contact us at hello@nirvanabrewery.com at any time to request for your information to be removed.

STORAGE OF YOUR DATA

Some or all of your data may be stored outside of the European Economic Area (“the EEA”) (The EEA consists of all EU member states, plus Norway, Iceland, and Liechtenstein), due to the data storage location of our providers being in the United States of America. You are deemed to accept and agree to this by using our website and submitting information to us.

Our web provider SquareSpace and our email provider MailChimp maintain a Privacy Shield certification with the U.S. Department of Commerce, which ensures that adequate safeguards are in place when personal data is transferred from the EU to the US. Our payments provider Stripe resides within the EEA and abides by the same Data Protection legislation as Nirvana Brewery. You also have the option to use your Paypal account to finalise your purchase. In this case you hold the account with Paypal and should refer to their privacy policy on how they manage your data. WHO HAS ACCESS TO YOUR DATA AND DO WE SHARE IT?

Any data that we collect through our website is used only by Nirvana Brewery. We will never sell the personal information that you provide to us to any third parties.

By placing an order with us, you understand that we may employ the services of third parties to carry out processing and shipping of your order. You understand that we have to pass your details on to them to fulfil and this third party may contact you with status updates of your order. You can refer to their privacy policy at any time.  

Any data used by such parties is used only to the extent required by them to perform the services that we request. Any use for other purposes is strictly prohibited. Furthermore, any data that is processed by third parties will be processed within the terms of this privacy policy and in accordance with GDPR.

Data security is of great importance to us, and to protect your data we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure data collected via this website.

The password required for your online account is your responsibility, and you must keep this safe and confidential.
