THE UK’S FIRST & ONLY
We’re pioneering the no/low movement with the UK’s only dedicated brewhouse.
Our Story
Nirvana Brewery was the first brewery in the UK to dedicate itself entirely to the brewing and development of alcohol-free beers. Set up in East London in 2016 by Becky and her family, Nirvana was born out of a love of beer and the belief that no-one should miss out on great beer if they can’t or don’t want to drink alcohol. Nirvana’s mission has been from the start to brew the best tasting alcohol-free beer possible and our brewery in the heart of East London was set up to do just that.
10 years on and Nirvana is leading the no & low-alcohol movement. With years of innovation and exploring new styles of beer and methods of brewing, Nirvana beers are some of the most highly awarded alcohol-free beers in the UK.
OUR PROCESS
Alcohol-free brewing is both an art and a science. Our brewer James Rabagliati is one of the leaders in this field and has carefully developed and refined our recipes over a number of years to ensure the optimum taste, quality and mouthfeel is achieved in every sip.
Our beers stay true to classic craft brewing principles, made with just four core ingredients: malt, hops, water, and yeast. By combining precise process control with specially developed yeast strains, we’re able to keep alcohol levels below 0.5% ABV while retaining full flavour.
For our German-style range, these beers use a vacuum distillation method which gently extracts alcohol without damaging the delicate flavour compounds of the beer. Each method of alcohol-free brewing we use is thoughtfully chosen to suit each style of beer.
SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainability and responsible brewing is at the core of what we do. Nirvana beers are designed to do good—for the people drinking them, the legends making them, and the planet that grows our ingredients.
We work with suppliers who are dedicated to environmentally friendly practices, using locally grown ingredients and water supply, as well as renewable energy.
As we move through 2026, we’re making two big leaps:
- Championing British Hops: Reducing our carbon footprint while supporting the best of British agriculture.
- B-Corp Bound: We are officially on track to become a B-Corp certified business.
We believe that beer is a magical drink that, when done right, can not only taste great but do great things for mind, body and planet.
