It’s official: we are now the ripe old age of ten, and proud to be celebrating a decade of brewing premium alcohol-free beer in the UK.
On 18th February 2016, our founder Becky sat at her dining room table, logged into Companies House and hit “submit”. This click kickstarted our wild adventure and mission to create the best-tasting alcohol-free beer our customers could enjoy without compromise.
It’s been a decade of grafting, brewing, crafting, tasting and perfecting and we are so proud of our achievements. What started as a bold idea has grown into one of the UK’s most recognised independent alcohol-free breweries.
The UK alcohol-free beer movement has grown dramatically over the last decade, and we’re proud to have played a part in making alcohol-free beer in the UK something that is more accessible, tasty and enjoyed amongst friends.
A decade of craft alcohol-free beer
We could not have done it without the dedication of our amazing team, customers, resellers and bars who continue to amaze us every day with their encouragement and support. This has driven us to perfect full-flavoured alcohol-free craft beers, brewed right here in the UK.

2016 - We start our exciting journey on February 18th

2017 - Our brewery opens in East London and we win a Great Taste Award for our lager

2018 - We launch the world’s first ever Kombucha beer

2019 - First listed with Ocado

2021 - We ran our first ever virtual brewery tour and beer tasting to keep everyone’s spirits up through lockdown

2022 - Our founder Becky features in Management Today as one of the “35 under 35”

2023 - Secured £500k investment to drive brand growth

2024 - Nirvana Cloudy Lemonade Lager won a Master Award in the Spring tasting

2025 - We win at the World Beer Awards for our Nirvana IPA

2026 - We are awarded Mintel Most Innovative for Nirvana Nitro Stout AND chosen as the “Star Buy” in the Times round up of Best Alcohol-free Beers
Most importantly, we are most proud of building a special Nirvana community who choose alcohol-free as part of their lifestyle, along with our network of resellers and bars and have helped us develop our range to what it is today.
